Join me for a two day *ONLINE workshop where you will learn how to coil a Woman Vessel. I will share what I’ve found helpful during my personal experience with clay, and knowledge that was passed to me from masters of the craft, with gratitude to women potters from the Taounate area in the Rif Mountains of Morocco, and Mama Aicha who generously shared her knowings with me. Each purchase comes with a link to the live sessions, access to video replays (expires after 30 days), and a PDF download of References. It will benefit those with no experience as well as advanced students. We will cover the fundamentals of coiling and under my guidance you will create your own iteration of the Woman Vessel. You will learn how to create asymmetrical curves / change directions as you build up a coil pot and form a narrow neck. Those with experience may proceed to more advanced iterations that involve horizontal coiling and belly-ing out. These valuable skills will stay with you, with hope to expand the range of forms that you are able to create with clay. This is an online workshop will be hosted in English via Zoom. To avoid confusion due to time difference, both sessions will begin at 17:00 London time.
