While I’ve long said I work with clay, I’m learning to say I work with fire, too. This piece emerged from a recent wood-firing — a process that continues to reshape how I relate to fire in my practice. Clay and I take credit for the form; the fire takes credit for the surface. Each piece holds the imprint of a specific moment inside the kiln, sealed beneath a layer of shino glaze.

Woman 360 holds in its memory a gentle mark — where ash settled onto the melted glaze and became trapped beneath its surface forever.

Approx. Measurements
