While I’ve long said I work with clay, I’m learning to say I work with fire, too. This piece emerged from a recent wood-firing — a process that continues to reshape how I relate to fire in my practice. Clay and I take credit for the form; the fire takes credit for the surface. Each piece holds the imprint of a specific moment inside the kiln, sealed beneath a layer of shino glaze.
Woman 364 is flame-licked with subtle blush all around — one of my favourite results from this firing.

Please note: while every effort is made to represent each piece accurately, finishes may vary slightly in person due to natural lighting and screen settings.
