We all live inside a lineage of forms that came before us. This online course is designed to help you find and speak your own truth within that lineage. Using the architectural philosophy of "case studies," we will extract specific elements and curves that resonate with you, allowing you to have your own conversation with the clay. Rather than copying a set model, you will strengthen your creative "muscle" to develop a unique ceramic voice and a refined direction for your practice. The Course Structure: 7 Live Group Demos: Meeting every two weeks via Zoom to explore a specific curve or form element. 6 Individual Projects: You will develop 6 unique iterations over the 13-week period. Personal Mentorship: A 15-minute one-on-one check-in with me during off-weeks to discuss your progress and receive personalized feedback. Intimate Learning: Strictly limited to 8 students to ensure deep support and community. Schedule & Commitment: Group Sessions: Mondays at 5:00 PM London time (Every two weeks). One-on-Ones: Mondays between 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM London time (Alternating weeks). Recommended Practice: At least five 3-hour making/trimming sessions per project. Prerequisites: I highly recommend having completed TWV Level 1 & 2 (online or in person) before joining this mentorship. Subsequent Payments: Payment links for the second and third installments will be sent for May 11 and June 11. Materials & Requirements: Clay: 3 bags (12.5 kg each) of clay with high grog. Essential Tools: Knife, needle, metal/serrated kidneys, surform, banding wheel, ruler, and hairdryer. Tech: A reliable internet connection and a camera for our Zoom sessions.
