If you’ve been curious about joining the Level 1: Woman Vessel online workshop but want to experience the process first, this introductory class is the perfect place to start. In this short, hands-on session, we’ll explore the fundamentals of coiling while creating a small, simple vessel together. I’ll guide you through the essential techniques and share a glimpse of the philosophy behind my practice — how working with clay can become a grounding experience that connects us with our own creative rhythm. This intro class is an opportunity to: Experience the basics of handbuilding and coiling in a welcoming space. Get familiar with the materials and tools used in the full Level 1 workshop. Ask questions and understand what to expect from the full journey. Begin your own relationship with clay with a simple, finished piece. Choose Your Experience Option 1: Live Sessions Join us on March 5 for real-time guidance, a welcoming atmosphere, and a live Q&A. Option 2: Recording Only For self-paced learning, receive instant access to recordings of past sessions to watch whenever you feel ready to create. Preparation & Tools To follow along, you will need the same basic setup as our Level 1 workshop: Clay: 2.5 kg of clay with high grog. Tools: A knife, needle, metal kidney, serrated kidney, surform, and a hairdryer or heat gun. Setup: A banding wheel (or two bowls) and a wooden surface to work on (optional). If you’re new to clay, you can find images of tools or ask questions at info@karinasmagulova.com. Hosted online via Zoom | Open to everyone | No prior experience required. By the end of the session, you’ll have a small handmade vessel—and the confidence and readiness to continue your journey into Level 1.
