In Level 2, the goal is to begin gaining control over the outcome rather than simply following the clay's natural tendencies. I will guide you through each step of transforming an advanced form from paper to life, refining your technique as we translate scaled drawings into three-dimensional vessels. What you will achieve: Technical Planning: Learn how to plan the size of a piece in advance and successfully execute a desired form. Precision Building: Use a provided PDF diagram with dimensions to bring a specific shape into the world as precisely as possible. Material Mastery: Gain the skills needed to control gravity and material behavior during the building process. This option includes recordings of the sessions for your continued practice. Prerequisites & Preparation Important: This workshop is exclusively designed for those who have participated in Level 1 (online or in person). I encourage you to join Level 2 soon after Level 1 while your skills are fresh. You will need: Materials: 5 kg of clay with high grog. Tools: Ruler, sponge, knife, needle, metal kidney, serrated kidney, surform, banding wheel, and a hairdryer.
